Fisheries (Total Allowable Commercial Catch) Amendment Notice 2013: revoked, on 29 September 2015, pursuant to clause 9(1) of the Fisheries (Total Allowable Catch, Total Allowable Commercial Catch, and Deemed Value Rates) Notice 2015 (LI 2015/211).

This notice is administered by the Ministry for Primary Industries.

Pursuant to section 20 of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister for Primary Industries gives the following notice after complying with the requirements in section 21 of that Act.

Notice

1 Title

This notice is the Fisheries (Total Allowable Commercial Catch) Amendment Notice 2013.

2 Commencement

This notice comes into force on 30 September 2013.

3 Application

This notice applies on and from the first day of the fishing year starting on 1 October 2013.

4 Principal notice

This notice amends the Fisheries (Total Allowable Commercial Catch) Notice 2009 (the principal notice).

5 Schedule amended

(1)

In the Schedule, insert in their appropriate alphabetical order the items set out in Schedule 1 of this notice.

(2)

In the Schedule, in each item relating to a fishstock code set out in the third column of Schedule 2 of this notice, replace the amount of total allowable commercial catch set out in the fourth column with the amount set out in the fifth column.

6 Consequential amendments to Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Notice 1986

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice amends the Fisheries (Total Allowable Commercial Catch) Notice 2009. It comes into force on 30 September 2013 and applies to and from the fishing year starting on 1 October 2013.

The amendments vary the total allowable commercial catch (TACC) for certain fishstocks as follows:

  • the TACC for OYS4 is increased to 43.5 tonnes (from 15 tonnes, set by the Fisheries (Total Allowable Commercial Catch) Notice 2005 (Gazette 2005, p 4070)):

  • the TACC for HOK1 is increased to 150 000 tonnes (from 130 000 tonnes):

  • the TACC for KIN7 is increased to 15 tonnes (from 7 tonnes, set by the Fisheries (Total Allowable Commercial Catch) Notice (No 2) 2003 (Gazette 2003, p 2882)):

  • the TACC for LEA3 is increased to 130 tonnes (from 100 tonnes, set by the Fisheries (Total Allowable Commercial Catch) Notice 2003 (Gazette 2003, p 2471)):

  • the TACC for LIN5 is increased to 3 955 tonnes (from 3 595 tonnes, set by the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Notice 1986 (SR 1986/267)):

  • the TACC for LIN7 is increased to 3 080 tonnes (from 2 474 tonnes):

  • the TACC for ORH3B is increased to 4 500 tonnes (from 3 600 tonnes):

  • the TACC for SCI2 is increased to 133 tonnes (from 100 tonnes):

  • the TACC for SPE1 is increased to 53 tonnes (from 33 tonnes, set by the same notice as for LIN5).
