Social Security (Long-term Residential Care) Amendment Regulations 2014: revoked, on 1 April 2015, by regulation 6 of the Social Security (Long-term Residential Care) Amendment Regulations 2015 (LI 2015/32).

These regulations are administered by the Ministry of Social Development.

Pursuant to section 155 of the Social Security Act 1964, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.

Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the Social Security (Long-term Residential Care) Amendment Regulations 2014.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on 1 April 2014.

3 Principal regulations

These regulations amend the Social Security (Long-term Residential Care) Regulations 2005 (the principal regulations).

4 Regulation 7 amended (Clothing allowance)

In regulation 7(2), replace “$267.43” with “$271.12”.

5 Regulation 12 amended (Personal allowance)

In regulation 12, replace “$42.64” with “$43.23”.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 1 April 2014, amend the Social Security (Long-term Residential Care) Regulations 2005 (the principal regulations). They increase to $271.12 the annual clothing allowance payable under regulation 7 of the principal regulations and increase the personal allowance referred to in regulation 12 of those regulations to $43.23 per week.

These increases reflect a 1.38% increase in the New Zealand Consumers Price Index from the December 2012 quarter to the December 2013 quarter (calculated for all quarters using the Consumers Price Index (All Groups), excluding cigarettes and other tobacco products).
