Pursuant to section 75 of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister for Primary Industries gives the following notice after complying with section 75A of that Act.

1 Title

This notice is the Fisheries (Interim and Annual Deemed Values) Notice (No 3) 2003 Amendment Notice 2014.

2 Commencement

This notice comes into force on 31 March 2014.

3 Application

This notice applies on and from the first day of the fishing year starting on 1 April 2014.

4 Principal notice

This notice amends the Fisheries (Interim and Annual Deemed Values) Notice (No 3) 2003 (the principal notice).

5 Schedule 1 amended

In Schedule 1, replace the item relating to the fishstock code specified in the first column of Schedule 1 of this notice with the item in that schedule.

6 Schedule 2 amended

In Schedule 2, replace the item relating to the fishstock code specified in the first column of Schedule 2 of this notice with the item in that schedule.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice amends the Fisheries (Interim and Annual Deemed Values) Notice (No 3) 2003. It comes into force on 31 March 2014, but applies on and from the first day of the fishing year starting on 1 April 2014.

The amendments relate to the quota management stock with fishstock code SCC3 (sea cucumber). The stock’s interim deemed value is increased from 1.50 to 1.80 $/kg. The stock’s annual deemed value is not changed, but its differential annual deemed values are increased for catch exceeding ACE by more than 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100%.
