Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 August 2014, amend the District Courts Fees Regulations 2009 (the principal regulations). These regulations make only 1 change to the principal regulations, which is to reduce the fee for copying a District Court judgment or order from $10 to $3. The purpose of the fee reduction is to ensure that the fee better reflects the cost of providing the service and to remove the risk of over-recovering the cost of the service.
Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2012.
Date of notification in Gazette: 3 July 2014.
These regulations are administered by the Ministry of Justice.
