Pursuant to section 12(1) of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996, His Excellency the Governor-General makes the following order, acting—

  • (a) on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council; and

  • (b) on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport made in accordance with section 12(1) and (2) of that Act.

1 Title
  • This order is the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection (Tui Area Development) Amendment Order 2014.

2 Commencement
  • This order comes into force on 9 January 2015.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 9 January 2015, amends the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection (Tui Area Development) Order 2007 (the principal order). The principal order declares a protected area at the Tui area oilfield development for the purposes of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996. This order increases the protected area to include the area around the proposed route of a submarine pipeline between the site of a new well and existing facilities.
