Pursuant to section 113C of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Trade gives the following notice.

1 Title

This notice is the Fisheries (High Seas Fishing Notifications—Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna) Amendment Notice (No 2) 2014.

2 Commencement

This notice comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

4 Schedule amended

(1)

In the Schedule, paragraph (a), after “2008”, insert “, as amended at CCSBT 21 in 2014”.

(2)

In the Schedule, paragraph (d), replace “and CCSBT 20 in 2013” with “, CCSBT 20 in 2013, and CCSBT 21 in 2014”.

In the Schedule, paragraph (e), after “2008”, insert “, as amended at CCSBT 21 in 2014”.

In the Schedule, paragraph (l),—

(a)

delete “within Three Year Quota Blocks”; and

(b)

after “meeting”, insert “, as amended at CCSBT 21 in 2014”.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice amends the Fisheries (High Seas Fishing Notifications—Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna) Notice 2009. This notice comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

The amendments update the list of international conservation and management measures that have been adopted by the Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna.
