KiwiSaver Amendment Regulations 2015

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council

Pursuant to section 228 of the KiwiSaver Act 2006, His Excellency the Governor-General makes the following regulations, acting—

(a)

on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council; and

(b)

on the recommendation of the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs in respect of matters dealt with in Part 4 of that Act.

Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the KiwiSaver Amendment Regulations 2015.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on 31 July 2015.

3 Principal regulations

These regulations amend the KiwiSaver Regulations 2006 (the principal regulations).

4 Regulation 3A revoked

5 Schedule 1AA revoked

Revoke Schedule 1AA.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 31 July 2015, revoke regulation 3A and Schedule 1AA of the KiwiSaver Regulations 2006 (the principal regulations).

Regulation 3A and Schedule 1AA of the principal regulations—

  • set out certain transitional and savings provisions, effective on and after 1 December 2014, for KiwiSaver schemes that continue to be registered in the KiwiSaver schemes register under clause 18(1)(a) of Schedule 4 of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013; and

Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2012.
