Accident Compensation (Effective Date for Repeal of Residual Levies Provisions) Notice 2015

Pursuant to sections 336A, 336B, and 336C of the Accident Compensation Act 2001, the Minister for ACC gives the following notice.

1 Title

This notice is the Accident Compensation (Effective Date for Repeal of Residual Levies Provisions) Notice 2015.

2 Commencement

This notice comes into force on 26 September 2015.

3 Effective date of repeal and amendments to provisions relating to residual levies

The effective date for the purposes of sections 336A(1)(b), 336B(1)(b), and 336C(1)(b) of the Accident Compensation Act 2001 is 26 September 2015.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice, which comes into force on 26 September 2015, appoints 26 September 2015 as the effective date for the purposes of sections 336A, 336B, and 336C of the Accident Compensation Act 2001. On this date certain provisions of that Act that relate to residual levies for the Work Account, Motor Vehicle Account, and Earners’ Account are repealed and amended as set out in sections 336A, 336B, and 336C.
