These regulations, which come into force on 1 April 2016, amend regulation 20(1) of the Civil Aviation Charges Regulations (No 2) 1991 (the principal regulations). The amendments amend a critical date in regulation 20(1) and decrease the fee payable on or after that new date having the cumulative effect as follows:
on or after 1 April 2014, but before 1 April 2016, an international operator must pay to the Civil Aviation Authority $11.98 for each passenger on a flight departing from New Zealand (other than the passengers listed in regulation 20(2)) for the purpose of funding the Aviation Security Service; and
on or after 1 April 2016, an international operator must pay to the Civil Aviation Authority $10.58 for each passenger on a flight departing from New Zealand (other than the passengers listed in regulation 20(2)) for the purpose of funding the Aviation Security Service.
