1 Title

This order is the Education Amendment Act 2015 Commencement Order 2016.

2 Commencement of sections 24 to 29

Sections 24 to 29 of the Education Amendment Act 2015 come into force on 1 July 2016.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order brings into force sections 24 to 29 of the Education Amendment Act 2015 on 1 July 2016. The sections amend Part 18A of the Education Act 1989. They make changes to requirements for a code of practice for the pastoral care of international students and establish a dispute resolution scheme for international students.

The rest of the Education Amendment Act 2015 is already in force.
