Traffic Amendment Regulations 2016

These regulations are made under sections 167(1)(j), 168, and 218(1)(d) of the Land Transport Act 1998 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the Traffic Amendment Regulations 2016.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on 1 February 2017.

3 Principal regulations

These regulations amend the Traffic Regulations 1976 (the principal regulations).

4 Schedule 1A amended

In Schedule 1A, revoke items 1 and 2.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 1 February 2017, amend the Traffic Regulations 1976 (the principal regulations).

These regulations amend Schedule 1A of the principal regulations by revoking references to fees payable for permits for overdimension vehicles.

The Ministry of Transport produced a regulatory impact statement on 9 June 2016 to help inform the decisions taken by the Government relating to the contents of this instrument.
