Local Government Members (2016/17) (Canterbury Regional Council) Amendment Determination 2017: revoked (with effect on 1 July 2017), on 27 July 2017 (after expiring on the close of 30 June 2017), pursuant to clause 15(c) of the Local Government Members (2017/18) (Local Authorities) Determination 2017 (LI 2017/167).

Pursuant to clauses 6 and 7A of Schedule 7 of the Local Government Act 2002 and to the Remuneration Authority Act 1977, the Remuneration Authority makes the following determination (to which is appended an explanatory memorandum).

Determination

1 Title

This determination is the Local Government Members (2016/17) (Canterbury Regional Council) Amendment Determination 2017.

2 Commencement

(1)

Clause 4(a) and (d) is deemed to have come into force on 8 December 2016.

(2)

Clause 4(b) and (c) is deemed to have come into force on 17 November 2016.

(3)

The rest of this determination comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

Clause 2: replaced, on 31 March 2017, by clause 4 of the Local Government Members (2016/17) (Canterbury Regional Council) Amendment Determination 2017 Amendment Determination 2017 (LI 2017/58).

3 Principal determination

This determination amends the Local Government Members (2016/17) (Canterbury Regional Council) Determination 2016 (the principal determination).

In the Schedule,—

This determination amends the Local Government Elected Members (2016/17) (Canterbury Regional Council) Determination 2016, which came into force on 14 October 2016 (being the day after the date on which the official result of the 2016 triennial general election of members of the Canterbury Regional Council was declared).

All amendments are made at the request of the Canterbury Regional Council.

The amendments are deemed to have come into effect on 8 December 2016.
