These regulations are made under section 211 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015—
on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council; and
on the recommendation of the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety made after complying with section 217 of that Act.
These regulations are the Health and Safety at Work (Petroleum Exploration and Extraction) Amendment Regulations 2017.
These regulations come into force on 15 May 2017.
These regulations amend the Health and Safety at Work (Petroleum Exploration and Extraction) Regulations 2016 (the principal regulations).
In regulations 39(b), 40(3), 48(1) and (2), 49(1)(c)(i) and (ii), and 50(1)(a) and (b), replace “non-production offshore installation” with “offshore non-production installation”.

In regulation 55(b), replace “in relation a production” with “in relation to a production”.

In regulation 71(1) and (2)(b), insert “or drilling contractor” after “permit operator” in each place.

These regulations, which come into force on 15 May 2017, amend the Health and Safety at Work (Petroleum Exploration and Extraction) Regulations 2016 (the principal regulations). These regulations correct clerical and typographical errors and an incorrect cross-reference in the principal regulations.
