Health and Safety in Employment Amendment Regulations 2017

These regulations are made under section 211 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015—

(a)

on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council; and

(b)

on the recommendation of the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety after complying with section 217 of that Act.

Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the Health and Safety in Employment Amendment Regulations 2017.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on 15 May 2017.

3 Principal regulations

These regulations amend the Health and Safety in Employment Regulations 1995 (the principal regulations).

4 Regulation 2 amended (Interpretation)

In regulation 2, revoke the definitions of protective clothing, protective equipment, supplier, and wholesome.

5 Part 1 revoked

Revoke Part 1.

6 Regulations 13 and 16 revoked

Revoke regulations 13 and 16.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations come into force on 15 May 2017. They revoke certain provisions of the Health and Safety in Employment Regulations 1995 that are redundant because their substance is provided for by regulations in the Health and Safety at Work (General Risk and Workplace Management) Regulations 2016.
