These regulations are made under section 88(1)(a) of the Births, Deaths, Marriages, and Relationships Registration Act 1995 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the Births, Deaths, Marriages, and Relationships Registration (Fees) Amendment Regulations 2017.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on 22 May 2017.

3 Principal regulations

These regulations amend the Births, Deaths, Marriages, and Relationships Registration (Fees) Regulations 1995 (the principal regulations).

4 Schedule amended

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 22 May 2017, amend the Births, Deaths, Marriages, and Relationships Registration (Fees) Regulations 1995 (the principal regulations).

These regulations amend the Schedule of the principal regulations, which sets out the fees to be paid in relation to certain matters under the Births, Deaths, Marriages, and Relationships Registration Act 1995.

The amendments change the amounts of most of the fees set out in the Schedule.

Regulatory impact statement

The Department of Internal Affairs produced a regulatory impact statement on 1 February 2017 to help inform the decisions taken by the Government relating to the contents of this instrument.
