This order is made under section 2(1) of the WorkSafe New Zealand Amendment Act 2015 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

1 Title

This order is the WorkSafe New Zealand Amendment Act 2015 Commencement Order 2017.

2 Commencement of certain provisions of WorkSafe New Zealand Amendment Act 2015

The following provisions of the WorkSafe New Zealand Amendment Act 2015 come into force on 1 December 2017:

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order brings the following provisions of the WorkSafe New Zealand Amendment Act 2015 into force on 1 December 2017:

Those provisions amend provisions of the WorkSafe New Zealand Act 2013 that relate to the transfer of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) employees and contracts to WorkSafe New Zealand. The transfer of EPA employees and contracts is necessary to enable WorkSafe New Zealand to carry out its functions, duties, and powers in relation to hazardous substances.
