Auctioneers Amendment Regulations 2017

These regulations are made under section 25 of the Auctioneers Act 2013 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the Auctioneers Amendment Regulations 2017.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on 31 December 2017.

3 Principal regulations

These regulations amend the Auctioneers Regulations 2014 (the principal regulations).

4 Regulation 3 replaced (Interpretation)

Replace regulation 3 with:

3 Interpretation

In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires,—

Act means the Auctioneers Act 2013

New Zealand Business Number means the number allocated to an entity under section 14 of the New Zealand Business Number Act 2016.

5 Regulation 4 amended (Additional information to be included in application)

After regulation 4(1)(c), insert:

(d)

the applicant’s New Zealand Business Number (if any).

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 31 December 2017, amend the Auctioneers Regulations 2014.

These regulations make changes to require an applicant for registration as an auctioneer to provide a New Zealand Business Number if the applicant has one.

Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2012.
