This order is administered by the Ministry for Primary Industries.
This order is made under section 13(2) of the Commodity Levies Act 1990 (as applied by section 305 of the Fisheries Act 1996)—
on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council; and
on the recommendation of the Minister of Fisheries made in accordance with the requirements of section 5 of the Commodity Levies Act 1990 (except section 5(1)(b)).
This order is the Commodity Levies (Paua) Amendment Order 2017.
This order comes into force on 1 February 2018.

This order amends the Commodity Levies (Paua) Order 2013 (the principal order).
After clause 2, insert:
This order is extended until the close of 24 February 2024 and, unless further extended or sooner revoked, is revoked on that date.
In clause 3, definition of levy year, paragraph (b), replace “1 October 2018 and ending on 24 February 2019” with “1 October 2023 and ending on 24 February 2024”.

This order, which comes into force on 1 February 2018, amends the Commodity Levies (Paua) Order 2013 (the principal order). This order—
extends by 5 years the period for which the principal order is in force; and
amends the definition of levy year in the principal order to reflect that extension; and
changes a reference in the principal order to the Minister for Primary Industries to refer to the Minister of Fisheries; and
amends a reference in the principal order to a District Court to reflect a change made by the District Court Act 2016.
This order is a confirmable instrument under section 47B of the Legislation Act 2012. It is revoked at the end of 31 December 2018, unless earlier confirmed by an Act of Parliament. That stated time is the applicable deadline under section 47C(1)(b) of that Act. Even if confirmed in that way, this order will be revoked at the close of 24 February 2024, unless revoked earlier or further extended.
