These regulations are made under section 46 of the Designs Act 1953—
on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council; and
after the precondition specified in that section has been met.
These regulations are the Designs Amendment Regulations 2018.
These regulations come into force on 5 April 2018.
These regulations amend the Designs Regulations 1954 (the principal regulations).
In regulation 15, after “New Zealand”, insert “or Australia”.

These regulations, which come into force on 5 April 2018, provide that—
an agent may be based in Australia or New Zealand:
an address for service may be an Australian or a New Zealand address.
