These regulations are made under section 45 of the Land Transport Management Act 2003 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.
These regulations are the Land Transport Management (Apportionment and Refund of Excise Duty and Excise-Equivalent Duty) Amendment Regulations 2018.
These regulations come into force on 30 September 2018.
These regulations amend the Land Transport Management (Apportionment and Refund of Excise Duty and Excise-Equivalent Duty) Regulations 2004 (the principal regulations).
Replace regulation 6(a) with—
in respect of motor spirits, at the rate of 72.4776 cents per litre:

These regulations, which come into force on 30 September 2018, amend the Land Transport Management (Apportionment and Refund of Excise Duty and Excise-Equivalent Duty) Regulations 2004.
The Excise and Excise-equivalent Duties Table (Motor Spirits) Amendment Order 2018 increases excise and excise-equivalent duties on motor spirits by 3.5 cents per litre from 30 September 2018. These regulations increase the rate at which those duties and the related goods and services tax are refunded.
The Ministry of Transport produced a regulatory impact assessment on 14 June 2018 to help inform the decisions taken by the Government relating to the contents of this instrument.
