This notice, which comes into force on 1 January 2019, amends the Financial Markets Conduct (Shares in Investment Companies) Designation Notice 2017 (the principal notice). This notice replaces the definition of NZX Main Board in the principal notice with a new definition that refers to the financial product market operated by NZX Limited, rather than the equity securities market operated by NZX Limited. This aligns the definition with NZX Limited’s updated listing rules, which take effect on 1 January 2019.
The Financial Markets Authority (the FMA), having complied with the requirements set out in section 563 of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013, considers it appropriate to amend the principal notice to ensure consistency between the notice and NZX Limited’s listing rules. The FMA is satisfied that the amendment does not change the effect of the principal notice.
