These regulations are made under section 431(1)(e) of the Social Security Act 2018—
on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council; and
on the Minister’s recommendation made under section 431(4) and (5) of that Act.
These regulations are the Social Security (Family Violence) Amendment Regulations 2019.
These regulations come into force on 1 July 2019.
These regulations amend the Social Security Regulations 2018 (the principal regulations).
In regulation 3(1), definition of family violence, replace “domestic violence as that term is defined in section 3 of the Domestic Violence Act 1995” with “family violence as that term is defined in section 9 of the Family Violence Act 2018”.

These regulations, which come into force on 1 July 2019, amend the Social Security Regulations 2018 (the principal regulations). The amendments align the principal regulations with the Family Violence Act 2018, which also comes into force on 1 July 2019.
