These regulations are made under section 101(1)(b) and (i) of the Retirement Villages Act 2003 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.
These regulations are the Retirement Villages (General) Amendment Regulations 2019.
These regulations come into force on 1 October 2019.
These regulations amend the Retirement Villages (General) Regulations 2006 (the principal regulations).
Replace regulation 3(1) with:

In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires,—
Act means the Retirement Villages Act 2003
New Zealand Business Number means the number allocated to an entity under the New Zealand Business Number Act 2016.
In Schedule 1, form 1, under the heading “Operator”, after the item relating to company or other registration number, insert:
“Operator”
New Zealand Business Number (if any): [insert New Zealand Business Number of each operator of the village].

In Schedule 1, form 2, under the heading “Operator”, after the item relating to company or other registration number, insert:
Rachel Hayward,for the Clerk of the Executive Council.
These regulations, which come into force on 1 October 2019, amend the Retirement Villages (General) Regulations 2006.
These regulations change—
the form for an application for registration of a retirement village to include the New Zealand Business Number of each operator of the village; and
the form for an annual return and certificate of registered documents to include the New Zealand Business Number of each operator of the village.
