Personal Property Securities Amendment Regulations 2019

These regulations are made under section 190 of the Personal Property Securities Act 1999 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the Personal Property Securities Amendment Regulations 2019.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on 2 September 2019.

3 Principal regulations

These regulations amend the Personal Property Securities Regulations 2001 (the principal regulations).

4 Regulation 3 amended (Interpretation)

In regulation 3, definition of New Zealand Business Number, delete “section 14 of”.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on 2 September 2019, amend the Personal Property Securities Regulations 2001. The amendment ensures that the definition of New Zealand Business Number includes all numbers allocated under the New Zealand Business Number Act 2016 (including a number allocated by the Registrar of New Zealand Business Numbers to an entity under section 15 of that Act without the entity needing to apply).
