This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
The notice relates to a customary food gathering area/rohe moana of Nga Toko Toru, Ngāti Māhanga, Tamainupo, and Tainui-Tahinga. The area/rohe moana is centred on Raglan Harbour and includes inland areas.
Notice is given of the appointment of 1 Tangata Kaitiaki/Tiaki for the area/rohe moana. The Minister of Fisheries made the appointment at the request of Poihākena Marae, which represents Tamainupo.
The powers of Tāngata Kaitiaki/Tiaki are set out in the regulations.
