The notice relates to a customary food gathering area/rohe moana of the tangata whenua represented by Te Whānau Moana and Te Rorohuri. The area/rohe moana is in Northland, around the Karikari Peninsula north of a line between Taha, Paamu, Tuu, and Kaha, including the eastern side of Rangaunu Harbour and the northern part of Doubtless Bay. The proposed area extends seaward to the limit of New Zealand fisheries, being the 200-nautical-mile limit.
