1 Title

This order is the Organ Donors and Related Matters Act 2019 Commencement Order 2020.

2 Commencement of Part 2 of Organ Donors and Related Matters Act 2019

Part 2 of the Organ Donors and Related Matters Act 2019 comes into force on 30 November 2020.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order brings Part 2 of the Organ Donors and Related Matters Act 2019 into force on 30 November 2020. Part 2 amends the New Zealand Public Health and Disability Act 2000 to establish the New Zealand Blood and Organ Service.

Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2019.

1 General

This is a consolidation of the Organ Donors and Related Matters Act 2019 Commencement Order 2020 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.
