Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God Queen of New Zealand and Her Other Realms and Territories, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith, to all to whom these presents shall come,
Whereas by a Warrant dated 6 February 1987 (SR 1987/67), We were pleased to institute and create an Order of Distinction styled and designated “The Order of New Zealand”, and did make, ordain, and establish Statutes for the governance of that Order, reserving to Us, Our Heirs, and Our Successors full power of annulling, altering, abrogating, augmenting, interpreting or dispensing with Our Warrant or any part thereof, by a notification under Our Sign Manual:
And whereas it appears to Us it is desirable that certain amendments be made to the Statutes:
We, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power vested in Us, declare Our pleasure that the Statutes be amended as set out below.
