Harmful Digital Communications (Appointment of Approved Agency) Order 2021

This order is made under section 7 of the Harmful Digital Communications Act 2015

(a)

on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council; and

(b)

on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice given in accordance with section 7(2) of that Act.

Order

1 Title

This order is the Harmful Digital Communications (Appointment of Approved Agency) Order 2021.

2 Commencement

This order comes into force on 30 June 2021.

3 NetSafe Incorporated appointed as Approved Agency

NetSafe Incorporated is appointed as the Approved Agency under section 7 of the Harmful Digital Communications Act 2015.

4 Term of appointment

The appointment made under clause 3 is for a term of 5 years starting on the date on which this order comes into force.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 30 June 2021, is made under section 7 of the Harmful Digital Communications Act 2015 (the Act). It appoints NetSafe Incorporated as the Approved Agency under the Act for a term of 5 years starting on the date on which this order comes into force.

Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2012.
