This order is made under section 2(3) of the Child Support Amendment Act 2021 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

Order

1 Title

This order is the Child Support Amendment Act 2021 Commencement Order 2021.

2 Commencement of certain provisions of Child Support Amendment Act 2021

The following provisions of the Child Support Amendment Act 2021 come into force on 26 October 2021:

Section 43 of the Child Support Amendment Act 2021 comes into force on 1 November 2021.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order brings certain provisions (listed in clause 2(1)) of the Child Support Amendment Act 2021 (the Act) into force on 26 October 2021. It also brings section 43 of the Act into force on 1 November 2021.

The rest of the Act’s provisions that are yet to come into force will come into force in accordance with section 2(3) of the Act. These provisions are as follows:

  • section 4(1) and (3):

  • sections 8 to 10:

  • sections 12 to 17:

  • section 58.
