This determination (to which is appended an explanatory memorandum) is made by the Remuneration Authority under the Remuneration Authority Act 1977 and clause 6 of Schedule 7 of the Local Government Act 2002, after having regard to the matters specified in clause 7 of that schedule.

1 Title

This determination is the Local Government Members (2021/22) Amendment Determination (No 2) 2022.

2 Commencement

(1)

Clause 4(1) is deemed to have come into force on 16 December 2021.

(2)

Clause 4(2) is deemed to have come into force on 4 March 2022.

Explanatory memorandum

This memorandum is not part of the determination, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This determination amends the Local Government Members (2021/22) Determination 2021 (the principal determination).

The amendments relating to Carterton District Council are deemed to have come into force on 16 December 2021. The amendments relating to Manawatu District Council are deemed to have come into force on 4 March 2022.

The amendments in this determination are made at the request of the councils concerned and approved by the Remuneration Authority.

Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2019.

This is a consolidation of the Local Government Members (2021/22) Amendment Determination (No 2) 2022 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.
