This order is made under section 23(1)(a) and (2)(a) of the Public Service Act 2020 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

Order

1 Title

This order is the Public Service (Ministry for Disabled People) Order 2022.

2 Commencement

This order comes into force on 1 July 2022.

3 Principal Act

Clause 4 amends the Public Service Act 2020.

4 Schedule 2 amended

In Schedule 2, Part 2, insert in its appropriate alphabetical order:

Ministry for Disabled PeopleMinistry of Social Development

Janine Harvey,
for Clerk of the Executive Council.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force on 1 July 2022, inserts the name of the Ministry for Disabled People (the Ministry) into Part 2 of Schedule 2 of the Public Service Act 2020 (the principal Act) as a departmental agency hosted by the Ministry of Social Development.

As a result of the order, the Ministry becomes a public service agency to which the principal Act applies.
