These regulations, which come into force on 1 July 2022, prescribe the fees that eligible doctors will be paid for writing a report for a coroner under section 40 of the Coroners Act 2006 (the Act). A doctor is eligible to be paid the fee if they are not a salaried employee of a district health board or otherwise paid by a public service agency to write reports under section 40 of the Act as part of their regular duties. The fee will apply for reports requested by a coroner on or after 1 July 2022.
