Fisheries (Total Allowable Catch, Total Allowable Commercial Catch, and Deemed Value Rates) Amendment Notice 2023

This notice is made by the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries under sections 13 and 20 of the Fisheries Act 1996 after complying with sections 11, 12, 13, and 21 of that Act.

1 Title

This notice is the Fisheries (Total Allowable Catch, Total Allowable Commercial Catch, and Deemed Value Rates) Amendment Notice 2023.

2 Commencement

This notice comes into force on 31 March 2023.

3 Application

This notice applies on and from the first day of the fishing year starting on 1 April 2023.

5 Schedule 1 amended

In Schedule 1, replace the items in columns 2 and 3 relating to CRA1 and SCACS with the corresponding items set out in columns 2 and 3 of the following table:

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

The amendments commence on 31 March 2023 but apply on and from the first day of the fishing year starting on 1 April 2023.

This notice amends Schedule 1 of the principal notice to change the total allowable catch and total allowable commercial catch for certain rock lobster and scallop stocks for the April 2023 fishing year.
