Gambling (Infringement Notices) Amendment Regulations 2023

These regulations are made under section 360(1)(c) of the Gambling Act 2003 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the Gambling (Infringement Notices) Amendment Regulations 2023.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on the 28th day after the date of their notification in the Gazette.

4 Schedule amended

(1)

In the Schedule, form 1, replace the items relating to procedures for payment of infringement fee and deposit slip with:

Payment of infringement fee

The infringement fee is payable within 28 days after [date infringement notice served].

The infringement fee may be paid to the Department of Internal Affairs by [specify method(s)].

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on the 28th day after the date of their notification in the Gazette, amend the Gambling (Infringement Notices) Regulations 2004 to modernise the available methods of payment of infringement fees.
