Gambling (Infringement Offences) Regulations 2023

These regulations are made under sections 360 and 370A of the Gambling Act 2003 on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council.

Regulations

1 Title

These regulations are the Gambling (Infringement Offences) Regulations 2023.

2 Commencement

These regulations come into force on the 28th day after the date of their notification in the Gazette.

3 Offences

A person who contravenes a provision specified in the Schedule commits an infringement offence and is liable to—

(a)

the infringement fee specified for that offence in the third column of the Schedule; or

(b)

a fine imposed by a court not exceeding $2,000.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.

These regulations, which come into force on the 28th day after the date of their notification in the Gazette, establish an infringement offence regime under the Gambling Act 2003 in relation to the Gambling (Harm Prevention and Minimisation) Regulations 2004.
