The Acusensus Harmony camera system is, in accordance with this notice, approved as a kind of vehicle surveillance equipment for the purposes of the Land Transport Act 1998 (the Act).

(2)

The camera system is approved as a kind of vehicle surveillance equipment for the purposes of the Act for use—

(a)

configured as a speed camera system; and

(b)

mounted in or on a motor vehicle.

(3)

Subclause (2) applies regardless of—

(a)

who owns or operates the camera system; and

(b)

the mounting system used to mount it.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the notice but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice, which comes into force on 29 April 2025, is made under section 2(1) of the Land Transport Act 1998 (the Act). The notice approves the Acusensus Harmony camera system as a kind of vehicle surveillance equipment for the purposes of the Act. Under the notice, this camera system is approved for use—

as a speed camera system; and
mounted in or on a motor vehicle with any mounting system.

The approval applies regardless of who owns or operates the camera system.
