Transport (Auckland Public Passenger Services) Temporary Amendment Regulations 1968: revoked, on 10 May 2011, pursuant to section 98 of the Land Transport (Road Safety and Other Matters) Amendment Act 2011 (2011 No 13).

These regulations are administered by the Ministry of Transport.
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following regulations.
1 Title
These regulations may be cited as the Transport (Auckland Public Passenger Services) Temporary Amendment Regulations 1968.
2 Suspension of existing law
For the purpose of facilitating the conveyance of persons during any period for which any public passenger services in the Auckland Transport District or the No 2 Transport Licensing District are suspended, any motorcar and the owner and driver of any motorcar for the time being in use for the carriage of persons who normally use such public passenger services shall be exempted from the following requirements, namely:
(a)
Any requirements as to licensing of Part 7 of the Transport Act 1962; and
(b)
As to the driver, from regulation 3 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 19641, so far as it requires that the driver shall be the holder of a licence to drive a passenger-service vehicle; and
(c)
As to the vehicle from the provisions of section 143 of the Transport Act 1962; and
(d)
As to the vehicle, from the requirements of regulation 8 of the Motor Vehicles Registration and Licensing Regulations 19652 that there shall be displayed on the vehicle a licence label in the form of diagram No 18 in Schedule 1 to those regulations; and
(e)
As to the vehicle, from the requirements of regulation 6 of the Motor Vehicles Insurance (Third-Party Risks) Regulations 19633 as to the use of the vehicle as a passenger-service vehicle.

Explanatory Note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations are for the purpose of facilitating the transport of persons affected by any suspension of public passenger services in the Auckland Transport District or the No 2 Transport Licensing District.
Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2019.
