Decimal Currency (End of Transitional Period) Proclamation 1968

  • Decimal Currency (End of Transitional Period) Proclamation 1968: revoked, on 1 February 1990, by section 186(1) of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1989 (1989 No 157).

This proclamation is administered by the Treasury.

Pursuant to the Decimal Currency Act 1964, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as follows:

  • This proclamation may be cited as the Decimal Currency (End of Transitional Period) Proclamation 1968.

  • The transitional period defined in section 3 of the Decimal Currency Amendment Act 1965 shall end with the 31st day of May 1968.
