Wildlife (Canada Goose) Order 1973: revoked, on 8 July 2010, by clause 4 of the Wildlife Order 2010 (SR 2010/159).

This order is administered in the Department of Internal Affairs.
Pursuant to the Wildlife Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

1 Title and commencement
-
(1) This order may be cited as the Wildlife (Canada Goose) Order 1973.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 5th day of May 1973.
2 Canada goose declared to be game throughout New Zealand
It is hereby declared that to the extent that Canada goose (Branta canadensis) is specified for certain areas of New Zealand in the Third Schedule to the Wildlife Act 1953 it shall cease to be included in that Schedule and shall be included in the First Schedule to the said Act for those areas in addition to the areas of New Zealand for which Canada goose (Branta canadensis) is already specified in the said First Schedule, to the intent that Canada goose (Branta canadensis) shall be declared to be game throughout New Zealand, and the said First and Third Schedules shall be read accordingly.
