Revocation of Orders in Council Relating to Extradition Between Norway and New Zealand: revoked, on 6 November 2008, by clause 3 of the Regulations Revocation Order 2008 (SR 2008/367).

This order is administered in the Department of Justice.
PURSUANT to section 21 of the Extradition Act 1965, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that on the 25th day of May 1976 so much of the Order in Council first specified in the Schedule hereto as applies to Norway, and the Order in Council secondly therein specified, shall cease to have effect as part of the law of New Zealand.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order has the effect of revoking 2 United Kingdom Orders in Council, applicable to New Zealand, that apply the United Kingdom Extradition Acts 1870 to 1906 to Norway. The revocation takes effect from 25 May 1976 when a treaty of 26 June 1873 between the United Kingdom and the Kingdom of Sweden and Norway is to be terminated with respect to Norway.
Issued under the authority of the Regulations Act 1936.
