Motor Vehicle Dealers Act Commencement Order 1976

This order is administered in the Department of Justice.

PURSUANT to the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act 1975, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

Contents

1 Title

  • This order may be cited as the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act Commencement Order 1976.

2 Interpretation

  • In this order the Act means the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act 1975.

3 Commencement of Act

  • (1) Sections 7 and 149 of the Act shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1976.

    (2) Sections 90 to 95 and sections 101 to 103 shall come into force on the 1st day of July 1976.

    (3) Except as provided in subclauses (1) and (2) of this clause, the provisions of the Act shall come into force on the day after the date of the notification of this order in the Gazette.
