Toxic Substances Act Commencement Order 1983

  • Toxic Substances Act Commencement Order 1983: revoked, on 6 November 2008, by clause 3 of the Regulations Revocation Order 2008 (SR 2008/367).

PURSUANT to section 1(2) of the Toxic Substances Act 1979, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

1 Title

  • This order may be cited as the Toxic Substances Act Commencement Order 1983.

2 Commencement of Act

  • All the provisions of the Toxic Substances Act 1979, except Part 2 (which came into force on the 1st day of January 19801) and section 26(1)(c), shall come into force on the 1st day of August 1983.
