Criminal Justice Amendment Regulations 2002

Criminal Justice Amendment Regulations 2002: revoked, on 1 July 2013, pursuant to section 412 of the Criminal Procedure Act 2011 (2011 No 81).

These regulations are administered in the Ministry of Justice, the Department of Corrections, and the Department for Courts.
Pursuant to section 149(a) and (k) of the Criminal Justice Act 1985, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council, makes the following regulations.
1 Title
-
(1) These regulations are the Criminal Justice Amendment Regulations 2002.
(2) In these regulations, the Criminal Justice Regulations 19851 are called
“the principal regulations”
.
2 Commencement
These regulations come into force on 30 June 2002.
4 Schedule 1 amended
Schedule 1 of the principal regulations is amended by omitting forms 1, 2, and 3 to 13C.
5 Regulations consequentially revoked
The following regulations are consequentially revoked:
(a) the Criminal Justice Regulations 1985, Amendment No 1 (SR 1987/212):
(b) the Criminal Justice Regulations 1985, Amendment No 2 (SR 1987/309):
(c) Regulations 2 to 4 and 5(2) and 5(3) of the Criminal Justice Regulations 1985, Amendment No 4, (SR 1993/254):
(d) the Criminal Justice Amendment Regulations 1999 (SR 1999/283):
(e) the Criminal Justice Amendment Regulations 2000 (SR 2000/160).

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general effect.
These regulations, which come into force on 30 June 2002, revoke provisions of the Criminal Justice Regulations 1985 that are no longer required as a result of the enactment of the Sentencing Act 2002 and the Parole Act 2002.
