This order is administered by the Ministry of Fisheries.
Pursuant to sections 30 and 89 of the Fisheries Act 1983, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and on the recommendation of the Minister of Fisheries made after consultation with the New Zealand Fishing Industry Board, hereby makes the following order.
Order
1 Title and commencement
(1)
This order may be cited as the Fisheries (Hauraki Gulf Wetfish Controlled Fishery) Cancellation Order 1986.
(2)
This order shall come into force on 1 October 1986.
2 Hauraki Gulf Wetfish Controlled Fishery
The Hauraki Gulf Wetfish Controlled Fishery, which was declared by the Controlled Fisheries (Hauraki Gulf Wetfish Fishery) Notice 1982 (SR 1982/201) (as amended by the Hauraki Gulf Wetfish Fishery) Notice 1982, Amendment No 1 (SR 1982/251) and which was continued in force by sections 30(5) and 109 of the Fisheries Act 1983 notwithstanding the revocation of those notices by section 108 of that Act, is hereby declared not to be a controlled fishery.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
The effect of this order is to cancel the Hauraki Gulf Wetfish Controlled Fishery with effect on and from 1 October 1986.
Date of notification in Gazette: 18 September 1986.
Notes
1 General
This is a consolidation of the Fisheries (Hauraki Gulf Wetfish Controlled Fishery) Cancellation Order 1986 that incorporates the amendments made to the legislation so that it shows the law as at its stated date.
2 Legal status
A consolidation is taken to correctly state, as at its stated date, the law enacted or made by the legislation consolidated and by the amendments. This presumption applies unless the contrary is shown.
Section 78 of the Legislation Act 2019 provides that this consolidation, published as an electronic version, is an official version. A printed version of legislation that is produced directly from this official electronic version is also an official version.
