Note
This notice is administered by the Ministry of Fisheries.
Pursuant to section 20 of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister of Fisheries, after having regard to the matters specified in section 21 of that Act, gives the following notice.

1 Title
This notice is the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Amendment Notice 2007.
2 Commencement
This notice comes into force on 30 September 2007.
3 Principal notice amended
This notice amends the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Notice 1986.
4 Schedule 1 amended
Schedule 1 is amended—
(a) by omitting item D of the item relating to flatfishes and substituting the item set out in Part 1 of the Schedule of this notice:
(b) by omitting item A of the item relating to hoki and substituting the item set out in Part 2 of the Schedule of this notice:
(c) by omitting items A, E, and G of the item relating to orange roughy and substituting the items set out in Part 3 of the Schedule of this notice:
(d) by omitting item A of the item relating to oreos and substituting the item set out in Part 4 of the Schedule of this notice:
(e) by omitting item D of the item relating to red cod and substituting the item set out in Part 5 of the Schedule of this notice:
(f) by omitting item H of the item relating to rubyfish and substituting the item set out in Part 6 of the Schedule of this notice:
(g) by omitting item A of the item relating to school shark and substituting the item set out in Part 7 of the Schedule of this notice:

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This notice, which comes into force on 30 September 2007, amends the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches, and Catch Histories) Notice 1986 to alter total allowable commercial catches (TACCs) for certain fishstocks as follows:
•the TACC for flatfish in area 3 is decreased from 2 681.5 tonnes to 1 430 tonnes:
•the TACC for hoki in area 1 is decreased from 100 000 tonnes to 90 000 tonnes:
•the TACC for orange roughy in area 1 is decreased from 1 400 tonnes to 870 tonnes:
•the TACC for orange roughy in area 3B is decreased from 11 500 tonnes to 10 500 tonnes:
•the TACC for orange roughy in area 7B is decreased from 110 tonnes to 1 tonne:
•the TACC for oreos in area 1 is decreased from 5 033 tonnes to 2 500 tonnes:
•the TACC for red cod in area 3 is decreased from 12 395.702 tonnes to 4 600 tonnes:
•the TACC for rubyfish in area 8 is decreased from 55 to 6 tonnes to correct a technical error:
•the TACC for school shark in area 1 is increased from 668.47 tonnes to 689 tonnes:
•the TACC for tarakihi in area 1 is increased from 1 399.195 tonnes to 1 447.483 tonnes:
•the TACC for white warehou in areas 5 and 6 is set at 2 617 tonnes.
