This order is administered in the Treasury.
PURSUANT to section 1(2) of the Post Office Bank Amendment Act 1988, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
1 Title
This order may be cited as the Post Office Bank Amendment Act Commencement Order 1989.
2 Commencement of section 2 of the Post Office Bank Amendment Act 1988
Section 2 of the Post Office Bank Amendment Act 1988 shall come into force on the 28th day of February 1989.

Explanatory Note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings into force, on 28 February 1989, section 2 of the Post Office Bank Amendment Act 1988.
That section provides that the Post Office Bank Limited is no longer a State enterprise under the State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986.
Issued under the authority of the Regulations Act 1936.
