PURSUANT to section 1(2) of the Post Office Bank Amendment Act 1988, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
1 Title
This order may be cited as the Post Office Bank Amendment Act Commencement Order (No 2) 1989.
2 Commencement of sections 3 to 6 of the Post Office Bank Amendment Act 1988
Sections 3 to 6 of the Post Office Bank Amendment Act 1988 shall come into force on the 17th day of March 1989.

Explanatory Note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This order brings into force, on 17 March 1989, sections 3 to 6 of the Post Office Bank Act 1988.
These sections remove the Post Office Bank Limited from the scope of the Official Information Act 1982, the Ombudsmen Act 1975, the Income Tax Act 1976, and the State Sector Act 1988 as it is no longer a State-owned enterprise.
