Pursuant to section 32 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

Order

1 Title and commencement

(1)

This order may be cited as the Ombudsmen Act First Schedule Order 1990.

(2)

Except as provided in clause 2(2), this order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

2 Ministry of Cultural Affairs

(1)

Part 1 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 is hereby amended by inserting, after the item relating to the Ministry of Commerce (as inserted by section 4(1) of the Trade and Industry Act Repeal Act 1988), the following item:

The Ministry of Cultural Affairs.

(2)

This clause shall come into force on 1 January 1991.

3 Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs

Part 1 of Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 is hereby further amended by inserting, after the item relating to the Ministry of Maori Affairs (as inserted by clause 2(3) of the Ombudsmen Act First Schedule Order 1989), the following item:

The Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order brings Schedule 1 of the Ombudsmen Act 1975 up to date. That schedule names the bodies and organisations to which the Act applies.

Issued under the authority of the Legislation Act 2012.
