PURSUANT to the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand Act 1989, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
1 Title
This order may be cited as the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand Act (Vesting and Commencement) Order 1990.
2 Appointment of date for vesting of undertaking of Tourist Hotel Corporation in Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand Limited
The 23rd day of March 1990 is hereby appointed as the date on which the undertaking of the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand shall, by virtue of the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand Act 1989, vest in Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand Limited.
3 Commencement of sections 14, 16, 18, and 21 of Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand Act 1989
Sections 14, 16, 18, and 21 of the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand Act 1989 shall come into force on the 23rd day of March 1990.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
Section 8 of the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand Act 1989 provides that on a date to be appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council the undertaking of the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand shall, by virtue of that Act, vest in Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand Limited.
This order appoints 23 March 1990 as the date on which the undertaking of the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand shall vest in that company.
The order also brings sections 14, 16, 18, and 21 of the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand Act 1989 into force on 23 March 1990. The appointment of a date for the commencement of those sections is consequential on the vesting of the undertaking of the Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand in the company.
